Proclamation and Recognition Request

  1. When describing the occasion or purpose for your proclamation, please include as much detail as possible to help us draft accurate and meaningful wording. Helpful information may include:

    • Who or what is being recognized – individual, group, organization, or event.

    • Why this is important – explain the significance to the community or the honoree’s impact.

    • Key dates – anniversary, birthday, awareness week/month, or event date.

    • Background information – short history or accomplishments (e.g., years of service, milestones, contributions).

    • Community connection – describe how this recognition benefits or relates to the Town of Argyle and its residents.

    Example: “We are requesting a proclamation recognizing September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to support local families, raise awareness of childhood cancer research, and honor Argyle residents who have been impacted.”
