Community Development Director

The Town of Argyle seeks a full-time Community Development Director for the Town's management team.  Under general supervision of the Town Administrator,  oversees and manages the Town’s day- to-day community development operations to include planning and zoning, building inspections, and code enforcement. Permit Clerk

Full-Time: Hiring range starting salary is $17.38 to $23.51 per hour depending on qualifications and depending on experience.

The Permit Clerk performs secretarial duties, administrative support, greets visitors, receives and processes building permits, and disseminates public information in support of the activities and operations of the Administration and Community Development Department. Position is highly visible involving constant contact with the general public. Contact may deal with sensitive and confidential issues or matters that are the subject of conflict and/or disagreement thus requiring considerable judgment and tactfulness. Streets & Wastewater Maintenance Worker


Full-Time:  Hiring range $15.73-$17.88 per hour (some overtime, weekends and on-call as needed)
Job Description
Benefit Summary

Responsible for performing assigned tasks necessary to maintain and repair Town infrastructure and improvements including streets, roads, bridges, medians, right of ways, gutters, sidewalks, alleys, parks, open space, drainage and wastewater collection system. Must perform shop work, small equipment repair and storage, light construction, and operation of tools and light equipment and preforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned and as directed by the Public Works Crew Leader and/or Public Works Director.

Compensation & Benefits

(Benefit Summary)
The Town of Argyle offers a starting salary of $64,934 and a comprehensive benefits package that includes: TMRS 2:1 7%, health insurance with partial dependent coverage, dental, vision and life insurance, short term and long term disability, paid holidays and personal days, uniform allowance, weapons, longevity pay, STEP and certification pay.

The Argyle Police Department values your experience. For experienced officers, beginning October 1, 2021 the starting Lateral Pay will be as follows: 2-3 years of experience, $66,233; 4-7 years of experience, $68,909; 8+ years of experience, $71,692.
