Under the collective guidance of the Mayor and Town Council, the Town Administrator manages all operations and administration of the Town as set forth by the Town’s Ordinances, Resolutions, and other directives established by the Town Council and applicable State law. Specifically, the Town Administrator is responsible for Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, Coordinating, Reporting, and Budgeting for all municipal functions. In addition, the Town Administrator is responsible for implementing the policies of the Town Council effectively and efficiently and establishing an organizational culture that is productive, enjoyable, and forward-thinking.

Under the general direction of the Town Administrator, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for the planning and organizing of comprehensive public information, media relations, social media, and marketing campaigns pertaining to programs sponsored by the Town of Argyle.

Under general direction of the Community Development Director, the incumbent performs secretarial duties, administrative support, greets visitors, receives and processes building permits, and disseminates public information in support of the activities and operations of the Administration and Community Development Department. Position is highly visible involving constant contact with the general public. Contact may deal with sensitive and confidential issues or matters that are the subject of conflict and/or disagreement thus requiring considerable judgment and tactfulness.

Under the direction of the Town Administrator, the Finance Manager performs responsible and specialized duties to complete varied financial activities, including accounting, treasury operations, pre-auditing, financial reporting, budget planning, forecasting, budget preparation, debt management, oversight of purchasing, cash management, banking relations, customer service and municipal court. Supervises Assistant Town Treasurer and Municipal Court employees and performs related work as required and other assigned projects.
Streets & Wastewater Maintenance Worker
Full-Time: Hiring range $15.73-$17.88 per hour (some overtime, weekends and on-call as needed)
Responsible for performing assigned tasks necessary to maintain and repair Town infrastructure and improvements including streets, roads, bridges, medians, right of ways, gutters, sidewalks, alleys, parks, open space, drainage and wastewater collection system. Must perform shop work, small equipment repair and storage, light construction, and operation of tools and light equipment and preforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned and as directed by the Public Works Crew Leader and/or Public Works Director.
Provides the equipment operational support associated with the operations and maintenance of the Town streets, wastewater collection system, parks and right-of-ways under the direct supervision of the Public Works Superintendent and the Public Works Director, which includes: manual labor, shop work, small equipment repair and storage. Vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance, operation of hauling equipment, operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection system, light construction, and operation of light and heavy equipment in the repair of Town streets, drainage, structures, bridges, etc.
